Work Study Scholarships

Work study Scholarships
Penny Sullivan in Wayne Summerhill’s Fall Beginning Sculpture Class thanks to ESSA’s work study program.

Work study scholarships are awarded to qualified individuals who may need help in meeting the expense of an ESSA workshop and who have a desire to contribute to the mission of ESSA with their time and talents. Work study assignments vary depending upon the needs of the campus.

There are a limited number of work study scholarships available each year, and participants must be pre-approved in order to begin earning their scholarship.

Upon submission of an approved work study scholarship application and completion of 30 hours of work, 30 hours (approximately 5 days) of workshop tuition will be provided to the work study participant. Workshop material fees and supplies are not included in the tuition award and must be paid by the work study participant. All workshop placements are based upon availability.

Participants may also continue to volunteer beyond the 30 hours of work study (thank you!!!), but ESSA may only offer a total of 30 hours of complimentary workshop time per person per year.
