To the Eureka Springs School of the Arts Community –
We here at ESSA have been closely monitoring developments related to COVID-19, and our Board of Directors and staff have had numerous difficult conversations regarding how to proceed. Though we miss you all terribly on campus, our most important consideration with respect to every decision we make is the health and well-being of our guests and staff. Because of this, and out of an abundance of love and concern for our students, our staff, and our instructors, we have made the very difficult decision to cancel all in-person programming for 2020.
If you were registered for a workshop and have not been contacted regarding a refund, please reach out to us. You can e-mail our Financial Coordinator, faith@essa-art.org or call the ESSA office, 479-253-5384
Art is essential to the human spirit now more than ever and ESSA is dedicated to pursuing our mission through these difficult times. Though our campus is closed, it is far from quiet! Staff is working hard to make repairs and improvements, to find new and innovative ways to offer programming, and to lay plans for 2021.
We are offering online workshops for the first time in ESSA history! The first few workshops offered online have been fantastic – if you are missing the joy of ESSA, join us online! Check the online workshop listings on our website frequently as we will be adding more as time goes forward. Also please be sure to like us on Facebook and Instagram for updates. We have begun posting content on our YouTube channel as well so please subscribe to see lots more great content soon!
Finally, we want to hear from you. What online workshops would you like to see? Do you have a cool image or video of what you are working on that you would like to share with us? Send us a note or tag us with #EveryoneShareSomeArt.
YOU ARE ESSA and we want to see and hear what you are up to now, with hopes that you are finding ways to engage your mind, heart and hands in creative endeavors.
With best wishes for your health and well-being,
Kelly McDonough
Executive Director
