MATERIALS LIST
Beginning Watercolor: Technique and Style
Instructor: Sarah Graves
Supplies can be purchased for as little as $65 and up to $115 depending on the quality of supplies the students choose.

This list includes the basic supplies you need to begin watercolor painting: brushes, paint, paper, and a palette.
For *round* brushes and palettes, you’ll see two different options listed as *Recommended* — you need one, but NOT both:
- The *Silver round brush* is the higher quality option.
- The *Royal and Langnickel round brush* is the more affordable option.
The *Masterson Aqua Pro palette* will last much longer than the *folding watercolor palette*, but either one works. Some students prefer to start with lower end materials until they know they want to invest; others like beginning with higher quality tools right away. If you choose the least expensive options, your total supplies will be around $50. I’ve personally used all of the items on this list — including the budget friendly ones — and I wouldn’t recommend them if they didn’t perform well.
