Turning Fine Platters
Platters are a great alternative to bowls. They can be made as large as your lathe capacity allows, so their size can look impressive, In this class, you will use the lathe to turn both square and round platters while experimenting with embellishment techniques that include carving, painting, and staining. Material for three platters is included; you are also welcome to bring your own unique wood to turn.
All materials included.
Students must be 18 or older to participate.

Ray (Bentonville, AR) is the president of the Stateline Woodturners, where they mentor new woodturners and host hands-on workshops for their members. He is on the Northwest AR Community College staff, where he leads and teaches for their Construction Technology Program.
