Relief Wood Carvings
Experience the art of relief carving with Master Carver John Engler. A wide variety of subject matter will be available to choose from, such as architectural forms (barns, cabins, mills) as well as animal forms (elk, bear, cougar, etc.). You will learn how to carve in the proper sequence using professional tools designed for relief carving. The instructor will provide carving blanks and tools that you may purchase.
Additional Materials: Each hand drawn basswood black will cost between $40 – $45 each. Students may purchase them from the instructor.
Students must be 18 to participate.

John (Battlefield, MO) has been a professional woodcarver and watercolorist for over thirty years. He operates the John Engler and Associates Design Studio. John has taught in 18 states and judged over 50 woodcarving shows across the country.
