Location: ESSA Windgate Building - Wood Studio

This workshop will introduce you to woodturning. You will experience traditional techniques and build skills using various tools. Express the excitement of creating, shaping, and making objects on the wood lathe; you will develop fine tool control and proper body mechanics and learn to make beautiful hand-turned items.

All materials included.

Students must be 18 or older to participate.

About Instructor

Matt Monaco
Matt (Springfield, MO) operates a woodturning business full time, Monaco Bowls (www.monacobowls.com), and has 15 years of turning experience with 5 years of apprenticeship. His training includes assisting world renowned, acclaimed masters of the craft, such as Richard Raffan. Matt has demonstrated at events and shows nationwide and has taught both privately and at the college level.
