Laying a good foundation in a landscape painting is what draws the eye from across the room. Expressive brushwork causes the viewer to linger. Your instructor will teach and demonstrate the five elements of a good painting – composition, values, color, edges, and detail – and share ideas for expressive brushwork. He will work one-on-one with you to help you develop your voice and create better paintings.

Additional material costs may apply.

Students must be 18 or older and show proof of vaccination to participate.

Farley (Springfield, MO) has won awards in thirteen of the fourteen Plein Air events he has entered, including four Best of Shows. He earned a BFA in Painting and Graphic Design and has done fine art professionally for over 40 years.
