Location: ESSA Iron Studio

Learn basic metal shop safety, metal cutting methods, grinding, welding, forge heating/bending and finishing techniques by creating a metal sculpture. Make a crab out of circular saw blades and nails, or a lady bug out of bollard caps and nails. Then explore your own found object metal sculpture skills utilizing your own found metal object or a pile of objects provided by the instructor from his workshop.

All materials included.

Students must be 18 or older and show proof of vaccination to participate.

About Instructor

Tom Flynn
Tom (Rogers, AR) has been doing found object metal art for the last 15 years. He also works as a lighting and electrical designer, brews beer and makes home-made root beer, writes music and plays several types of musical instruments.
