Pet Portraiture in Watercolor (Online Workshop)

In this online interactive course, you will learn techniques for painting pet portraits. Using watercolor, you will explore painting the different shapes and forms of animals, how to approach expressing the texture of the fur, and the eyes’ expression.
Multiple uses of value will be encouraged and studied for dramatic effects and focal points. Your instructor will provide real-time feedback and instruction as you work, as well as demonstrations of many intriguing techniques. You will need a steady internet connection and an enabled camera and microphone through your computer or webcam.
You will also need to have your own supplies as listed.

Spencer Meagher
Spencer (Mt. Vernon, IL) a plein air and studio painter now well into his fifth decade of painting, and is fluent in watercolor, oils and acrylics. He has 20+ years of experience teaching workshops, specializing in strong design and understanding values as a solid foundation for a successful painting. Spencer teaches a variety of painting approaches, broadening each students view of creating art. Spencer has won multiple awards in juried competitions across the country and has been featured multiple times in Plein Air Magazine and other publications.
