Boxes are the most popular wood working projects, and those boxes that are small enough to fit in a pocket have an immense appeal. Whether they are used to carry a fine pair of earrings, or the pills you need to keep available throughout your day, tiny boxes small enough to fit a pocket, are fun to make, useful and instructive. These boxes require a high degree of precision that (once learned) can be useful in everything else you make.
In this 5-day class students will make boxes in 3 or four designs (depending on time) based on Doug Stowe’s newest box making book from Taunton Press, Tiny Boxes. Boxes to be made in this class include sliding top, lift off lid and hinged designs. Not only are these boxes small, they are inlaid with shop made inlays that you will walk away knowing how to make in your own shop, that can be used in other projects as well.
