Learn the fundamental cutting techniques for two basic types of woodturning: spindle and facework. Your own projects could include a bud vase, small bowl, candle-holder or a plate. You will also learn proper sanding techniques, application of different finishes, and how to safely operate woodturning equipment and tools.

About Instructor

Kip Powers
Kip (Rogers, AR) has been turning for over 30 years, currently making small to moderate scale vessels from domestic woods. He is a co-founder of the Stateline Woodturners and has taught at ESSA and the Arkansas Craft School.
