This basket has a 9” by 18” woven oak “herringbone” bottom, an oval top and is approximately 9” deep. It has 2 loop handles made also of natural white oak.
All baskets are made from white oak trees that the instructor selects, harvests and prepares by hand using homemade tools made and used by his father in the Ozark tradition. All aspects of how a tree is turned into a pliable, flexible wood for weaving will be discussed. Leave each class with a finished hand-made basket that should last a lifetime.
