Crafting in Leather and Wood

A full day of fun and creativity at ESSA for parents and children to make art together!  Each parent and child pair will spend half of the day making leather cuff bracelets and the other half of the day experiencing the amazing woodturning process of creating turned wooden spindles.  Doug Stowe, your instructor for woodturning, is a renowned and award-winning master woodworker with extensive experience in teaching children of all ages how to work with wood.   Alice McKee, experienced leather worker and maker of “Itty Bitty Boots” for small children, will teach you how to make fun and fashionable leather cuff bracelets.  This will be a day of shared exploration and creativity that you and your child will remember for a lifetime!
